Add page numbers to a PDF

A merged bundle rarely carries a usable sequence. Number every page in one pass, choosing where the number sits, what it says, and which page counts as page one.

How to add page numbers to a PDF

• Add the PDF that needs numbering.
• Choose the position, format and starting number.
• Download the numbered PDF.

This runs in your browser. The file is not uploaded, there is no account to create, and nothing is added to the document you download.

Questions about add page numbers

How do I add page numbers to a merged PDF?

Number every page in one pass, choosing where the number sits, what it says around the number, and which page counts as page one — useful when a bundle opens on a cover sheet that should not be numbered.

Can I start numbering from a page other than the first?

Yes. You set which page is page one, so a cover or a contents sheet can sit outside the sequence.

Is the PDF uploaded?

No. The file is opened, changed and written by this browser tab — it is never sent to a server, so there is no queue to wait in and nothing to delete afterwards. Once the page has loaded you can turn the network off and the tool still works.
